Joe looks back on his initial three months with #teamhemlow, sharing his thoughts on his journey so far as an Assistant Estimator and discusses what he is most excited for in the future!
After three months with Hemlow I’ve had the chance to look back on my induction process. During the initial weeks, I spent time with different team members from Ollie, the Business Development Manager to engineers, learning about the company’s operations from start to finish. This included attending site surveys and shadowing on condition reports.
My time spent with the admin team gave me an in-depth understanding of how Hemlow’s CAFM system works and facilities smooth communication, planning and reactive time for daily tasks in the the FM industry.
I engaged with contract and regional managers to understand how sales and operations collaborate to provide clients with error-free experiences, strengthening relationships and enhancing customer satisfaction through high quality service levels.
I then spent a week on site with our static engineer performing day to day servicing through asset monitoring and going the extra mile for the client by promptly addressing issues.
Following my previous experience and learning Hemlow’s processes, I dove into site visits with the Business Development Manager getting first hand experience in my role. I was given the chance to visit various sites and shadow condition reports, enhancing my understanding of site surveys and asset conditions. Whilst still on my probabtion, Hemlow also sent me to training courses to enhance my learning about the systems and processes!
I would highly recommend Hemlow to anyone no matter what your discipline is within the M&E world, it is the most welcoming environment I have worked in and I have only just began my journey here. I’m eager for the future opportunities in projects, personal growth, company events, and more that Hemlow has in store.
