Hemlow Announces Charity Support

Written by Nina Brown

In 2021 Team Hemlow threw themselves into a year of fundraising for MIND, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. MIND provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

After a year of fantastic fundraising events, including amazing efforts from Team Hemlow employees at the JLL Property Triathlon and an enticing raffle at our company HemFest event, we managed to raise an incredible £3000 for this excellent cause!

Looking forward to the year ahead as we entered 2022, we asked our employees to put forward their choice of charity to be entered into our annual draw.

With all suggestions placed into trusty Hemlow hard hat, it was down to Josh, our Supply Chain Manager and Mark, our Technical Support Manager to pull out two charities for the shortlist.

Following a final company vote we are pleased to announce that this year we will be supporting Young Lives vs Cancer. Previously known as ‘CLIC Sargent’ this amazing charity provides specialist day to day and financial support towards children, young adults and their families that have been impacted by cancer.

With 1 in 2 people in the UK diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime we are determined to do as much as we can to help raise funds for this important cause.

And with teams already entered for the 2022 JLL Property Triathlon this June our fundraising efforts are already well under way. To keep up to date with our training progress and fundraising news, head over to our LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram!

Young Lives vs Cancer do everything in their power to ensure no family stands alone to cancer. If you would like to make a donation to support this cause you can visit our JustGiving page here.
