Our Commitment to Sustainability
As the global focus on sustainability grows, we are proud to lead the way in developing our environmental efforts. At Hemlow, we are committed to reaching net-zero carbon emissions across all our operations by 2050. Our Sustainability Initiatives
Partnerships & Training
To support and work towards our milestones above, we have focused on building new initiatives and adapting our services to create a smoother and more sustainable transition for our team, clients and the environment. In this blog we have pointed out our key initiatives to show you what we are doing, what we are changing and how we are working together to meet this world-wide challenge.
As a company we recognise the need for stronger partnerships and guidance to make this change happen. That’s why we began our journey by joining the SME Climate Hub, a platform dedicated to helping small and medium-sized enterprises reduce their carbon footprint. This platform provides us with resources, expert guidance, and a network of like-minded businesses committed to a sustainable future.
At Hemlow, we also prioritise educating our clients about sustainable practices. We offer expert advice on optimising resource use, upgrading facilities, and implementing greener technologies. These initiatives help our clients become more environmentally responsible and ensure that our entire supply chain aligns with the changing environmental regulations and standards.
But you’re probably wondering, how can we educate your entire team – surveyors to facilities managers – if we don’t work directly with them? To achieve this we provide CPD training sessions at landmark buildings across the UK, focusing on topics regarding sustainability and energy consumptions within commercial buildings. These are great opportunities for our team of professionals to guide and educate your employees on solutions that improve building energy efficiency and enhance occupant comfort. Previously we hosted a CPD event at The Gherkin in London. Check out our post to see how this session could benefit your team!
Our journey to net zero is ongoing, and we are committed to continuously improving our sustainability practices. By working together with our clients, partners, and community, we believe we can contribute to reducing climate change and creating a more sustainable future for all.
